Career Opportunities

CSA Ocean Sciences Inc. was established in 1970 as a marine environmental consulting company with a focus on local, Florida projects. Subsequently, through a strategy of recruiting high-performing subject matter experts and building partnerships, CSA rapidly evolved into a regional and then international profile, providing a diverse portfolio of services from the shoreline to the deepest areas of ocean exploration. Today, CSA’s services and subject matter experts serve clients around the world having performed work in over 70 countries for hundreds of clients. Work for a myriad of clients touches an unusually broad range of project and service types, from hydrographic and geotechnical surveys to all manner of environmental baseline surveys to support habitat restoration and desktop studies including Environmental Impact Assessments that satisfy regulatory requirements for clients domestically and internationally.

Academically, CSA’s science division is composed of Masters and Ph.D. degree holders in life and physical sciences with majors and theses in marine science. CSA is an organizational member of AAUS, and as such our scientific divers have adopted their standards and policies. The scientists design statistically robust and efficient sampling plans and techniques and manage, interpret and publish those data to clients, through CSA’s internal peer-review process. That process is supported by dedicated staff in Geospatial Services, Document Production, and full Library Services. A division of specialized individuals with years of at-sea experience who hold comprehensive, multi-disciplinary certifications focused on safety and technical training support the execution of marine operations. Our marine operations specialists manage all CSA’s use of equipment, from at-sea computers to over-the-side instrumentation and support systems including application and installation of winches and hauling frames, navigation, data management and analysis. This unique blend of dedicated science and operations professionals creates multi-disciplinary teams experienced and capable of conducting world-class surveys and scientific assessments anywhere in the world.

CSA is the sum of its employees – the most valuable asset of the company. The atmosphere at CSA is collegial, fast-paced and is composed of talented individuals that are carefully selected for being self-starters that ‘can do complicated’. Strong team culture is a natural element of the work environment where employees are encouraged to work collaboratively and to continually learn and explore new opportunities for intellectual growth. We are looking for people who do not just work for the company, but embrace the company as theirs, contributing to making the company grow and remain vibrant.
