Marine Mammal Observation and Passive Acoustic Monitoring Course

CSA is offering a PSO and PAM Training Course in March 2013

The Marine Mammal Business Line of CSA Ocean Sciences Inc. (CSA) is offering a course on Marine Protected Species Observation (PSO) and Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) that meets BOEM/BSEE seismic mitigation regulations. The 3-day course will be offered 1-3 March 2013 near West Palm Beach, Florida. Further details on the course and registration will be posted on the CSA website (www.csaocean.com).

The training agenda will be as follows:

Friday, 1 March 2013
7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. – PSO classroom instruction at hotel

Saturday, 2 March 2013
7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. – PSO classroom testing at hotel
11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. – PAM course and workstation instruction at hotel

Sunday, 3 March 2013
7:00 a.m. – Shuttle to vessel
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Field instruction for PSO and PAM on board vessel
6:00 p.m. – Shuttle to hotel

The price for the combined PSO/PAM training course is $1,500. Full payment is required by 15 February 2013. Late payments will be accepted after the 15th at the price of $1,800. Payments can be made via personal check or money order. The course registration form available on CSA's website must accompany payments.
