Marine Survey Equipment

To ensure that we provide both our survey teams and customers with the optimal resources in the field, CSA owns, maintains, and operates its own marine survey equipment. This includes a diverse range of oceanographic instrumentation and deck handling systems, a growing fleet of Autonomous Surface Vehicles (ASVs), and several high specification research vessels.

We see having the right equipment on hand and easily mobilized as an essential aspect to supporting our clients technically and fiscally in delivering turnkey services for coastal, nearshore, and offshore marine consulting.

Research Vessels

CSA has two rugged, long range vessel research vessels stationed in both the US Northeast and in Florida. Both the R/V Dolphin and the R/V Hawksbill are multi-purpose vessels that have been specially configured to support marine geophysical survey outfitted with the latest technology and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations in water depths ranging from hundreds of meters to shallow nearshore sites.

Autonomous Surface Vehicles

CSA’s expanding fleet includes several SR-Surveyor M1.8s (SeaRobotics)—an industry-leading compact ASV fitted with a multibeam echosounder and LiDAR system—several larger Utility Class ASVs, and a long-range heavy payload uncrewed vessel capable of autonomous missions of up to 60 days. Our goal at CSA is to ensure that the benefits of deploying uncrewed and highly intelligent systems translate into ongoing efficiencies for our customers in the offshore energy, telecom, infrastructure, scientific and defense markets around the world.
