CSA to Exhibit at 35th Annual National Conference on Beach Preservation Technology

CSA’s leading marine scientists will be in attendance at the 2022 National Conference on Beach Preservation Technology. This year, the 35th edition of the annual conference will take place from February 2-4, 2022 at the Embassy Suites St. Augustine Beach Resort in St. Augustine FL, as well as virtually. Stop by booth #9 to discuss CSA’s environmental monitoring and surveying services to support beach nourishment, inlet management, and coastal resilience. CSA scientists are proud to present a seminar on the following topic:
Submerged Aquatic Vegetation Mitigation Through Wind Wave and Boat Wake Reduction” – Friday, February 4, at 9:25 a.m.

Erin Hodel, Senior Scientist at CSA, will be presenting the results of a large-scale seagrass mitigation pilot project undertaken by the North Carolina Department of Transportation using Atlantic Reefmaker technology to reduce wave energy and increase cover of submerged aquatic vegetation in the Outer Banks, North Carolina. Co-authors are Dr. Mark Fonseca (CSA) and Phillip Todd (Atlantic Reefmaker).
